Hello and welcome!  My name is Michelle LaPointe, and I have been a student and practitioner of medicine for over 10 years.  I first became interested in healthcare through studying the natural environment.  I attended the University of Vermont and aquired a Bachelor of Arts through a self designed major in Environmental Education with a focus on medicinal plants.   After graduating and teaching Environmental Education in numerous locations around the country, I ended up in Colorado.  It was here that I decided to return to school to get my degree in Massage Therapy, to get back to my focus in the healthcare and wellness that I began with medicinal plants.  Studying at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, I became increasingly interested in Shiatsu, a form of Asian bodywork.  The theories and concepts of Shiatsu continued to inspire me in my practice after graduating.  This eventually led me to further my scope of practice and my level of education by pursuing my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.   I graduated from the accelerated 3 year program in August of 2011, and am currently owner and practitioner at Four Points Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

With this blog, I intend to drawn on my experiences with health and balance to provide a source of inspiration and education to others.  The world of information on health is large, vast, and sometimes misleading to many people.  By opening this dialogue, I hope to help others sort through the knowledge available and make it easier for the expansion of wellness to occur.     I would love to receive suggestions or questions for topics and discussion to make this process more organic and interactive.   Please feel free to contact me with any comments or questions.  I look forward to hearing from you!
